This week our Prevention Specialists passed out over 5,000 stickers and other materials and worked with their Leaders In Training Students to create banners, read announcements, hold walks, rallies and parades to raise awareness.
The biggest event was held Friday, October 28 at Waterfront Elementary School. Prevention Specialist Sarah Holsopple worked with the team at Waterfront and Principal David Hills to put together a pep rally and parade. The Honorable Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul presented a proclamation along with Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams. Several employees from the FBI also attended the pep rally and walked with the kids during the parade that followed the rally. The FBI offices will be displaying the winning posters from the contest held at Waterfront during the week.
