Holiday Headstart at the McKinley Mall
The fourth annual Holiday Headstart took place on Sunday November 18th, 2007 at the McKinley Mall. Around 400 people enjoyed free food, discounts, special deals, free gift-wrapping, numerous chances to win valuable prizes, and the opportunity to do holiday shopping, one week early, without the crowds and stress that too often accompanies this yearly ritual. All proceeds and sponsorship dollars generated a sum of around $6,000 after expenses. This event has now raised over $22,000 over the past four years with all of those dollars going toward our cause of supporting effective prevention programs that help to keep our kids away from alcohol, tobacco, and other dangerous drugs.

WYRK-FM "Wheel of Prizes" at the Erie County Fair
Over the past fifteen years, WNY United has partnered with WYRK-FM for the "Wheel of Prizes" promotion at the Erie County Fair. For a donation of $1.00, fairgoers spin a wheel hoping to land on the "Country Star of the Day" and win a prize. This year, a sum of $6,853 was raised over the course of the eleven-day fair. The "Wheel" has now generated approximately $130,000 for WNY United since the promotion began benefiting our cause in 1992.

Donate to WNY United
WNY United needs the financial support of concerned individuals and businesses. In-kind donations of all varieties are also needed for auctions, raffles, and other promotions throughout the year.
